Skill classes are divided into 3 groups, Novice, Intermediate and Expert
Depending on the size (number of riders) of the “Skill Class”, the class may be further divided into sub-levels of “A”,  “B” and “C” if needed .    “A” being the faster riders, then “B”, then “C” as the slowest, or true beginners.   Only the “A” class will accumulate series points in a race Series.  “B” and “C” classes still win race day awards, such as trophies.  Riders would move up the sub-levels as their skill level improves.

CMA Licenses are issued based on the riders age at the time of application.   Maximum age is based on the age of the rider AT THE END of the license year.  With proof of age, riders can move to the next age class on or after their birthday within the license year, but they must contact CMA to adjust their license classification.  A CMA License representative is available at all race events.
