Helmet approval at CMA Races?
Safety is always of foremost importance in any sport and improvements are constantly being made to equipment. Helmets DO have a shelf life, meaning they degrade naturally, whether they are used or not. 100′s of SNELL2010 approved helmets (<check link) are available. Many of the brands available in the Fraser Valley. If a SNELL2010 helmet is not in stock at your supplier, simply ask to order one. To expensive? As an example only, the HJC CL-X6 is available for a MSRP $119.95 in sizes from XS to XXL. Price effects features, but it does NOT effect the level of safety provided. You say you just bought a SNELL2005 Helmet, it’s brand new? The switch from SNELL2005 to SNELL2010 occurred October 2007. Even giving the manufacturer some time to adopt the new standard, your “New” SNELL2005 helmet is not really that new.
Most parents biggest fear is seeing their child get injured. What about finding out afterwards they could have been protected better?
Why the focus on SNELL2010? Only because it is a very “high” standard and is commonly available in our local market. ECE-22-05 is also a very good accepted standard from Europe and it is starting to show up in our local stores as well. Check the CMA rule book for other acceptable standards.
Consider this a sign that CMA is actually concerned about your safety.

Wow!
Bring your friends and earn some credit toward your ride.
For EVERY Friend or Family you bring to the track, that sign up for a membership, you will receive a $10 voucher that you can use towards your Tuesday Night practice fee, or sign up fee. If you want, you can even offer it to your good buddy to save them $10 off their first membership.
Earn and use as many vouchers you like.
It’s simple! Just take your Friends to the membership office at the track, have them join, collect a voucher for each “Individual Membership” or “Family Membership” purchased.
(fine print) Your Friend or Family can not have been a Lower Mainland MX Club member, EVER. Vouchers can only be used Tuesday nights in Mission. Vouchers have no cash value.

We are all in this club together and we need your support if we are going to continue to operate this facility for your enjoyment. The lease is extremely expensive compared to any other MX facility in BC. Please support, promote and come out to your track now and well into the future ! Note that the more riders we share the expenses with, the less each riders fee will be. This may not result in lower fee’s, but it will help greatly in the fee’s not being increased.

Motocross is a form of motorcycle sport or all-terrain vehicle racing held on enclosed off road circuits. It evolved from trials, and was called scrambles, and later motocross, combining the French moto with cross-country. BMX, or bicycle motocross, is the equivalent sport for non-motorized dirt bikes
